This is a purple nehru jacket made out of silken bamboo, a fabric that’s analogous to an ultralight cashmere in terms of its warmth, softness, and drape. Our bamboo silk nehru jacket is unlined, features our signature collar, the Meridian, and is fastened with natural horn buttons.
Due to the incredible feel of the fabric, we recommend wearing the jacket directly against the skin, as an overshirt, but in cooler weather, a base layer or lightweight rollneck can also be worn underneath. When transmuted into fabric, the result is ultra-soft, breathable and moisture-wicking in warm temperatures, insulating in cooler temperatures, defensive against UV radiation, hypoallergenic, and biodegradable. The buttons are carved from natural horn.
